Strantrol
Disinfection and dechlorination in water can be precisely controlled by Strantrol High Resolution Redox (HRR). The Strantrol technology is used to control the addition of chlorine, bromine, ozone, sulfur dioxide, sodium metabisulfite and sodium bisulfite for both municipal and industrial applications. Chlorine in water kills bacteria and viruses by stealing electrons. Some chlorine compounds are much more toxic than others and have higher electrical attraction. The more of the toxic forms of chlorine, the higher the attraction. The more abundant the organics, the weaker the attraction. The net attraction is measured as Oxidation Reduction Potential (Redox). Strantrol HRR controllers give you a direct, on-line measure of chlorine’s “work value” and respond to chlorine demand by adjusting the feed rate.
