Siemens Water Technologies Stranco Products Polyblend liquid, emulsion, and dry polymer makedown and feed systems have been designed to properly hydrate polymer molecules in the shortest time possible. All Polyblend systems provide two levels of mixing. First high shear mixing, which occurs when the polymer and water first come into contact and for only a short period of time, disperses the polymer in water. The smaller the polymer particle, the faster the time to full hydration. Following this, there is low shear mixing, which is designed to encourage the molecule to open up fully while minimizing polymer fracturing. The designers of the Polyblend have studied the chemistry behind polymer preparation and back up claims with viscosity measurements of prepared polymers.
