Arsenic Treatment Systems
ADI International, represented in Ontario by Indachem, designs and manufactures Arsenic Treatment Systems capable of reducing arsenic levels to less than 2 ppb, even from concentrations as high as 1200 ppb. ADI's Arsenic Treatment System consists of pressure vessels containing MEDIA G2® and operates in a down-flow mode, providing 10 minutes residence time. Natural MEDIA G2® consists of granular, calcined diatomite upon which ferric hydroxide is chemically bonded. Iron attracts the arsenic in water and binds it to the media by chemisorption. Before breakthrough from the Arsenic Treatment System, the media is either replaced or regenerated (up to 5 times) in-situ with waste volume typically less than 0.1% of treated water.
