Dewatering Biosolids
Dewatering is necessary to ensure
that the Biosolids are utilized or disposed of in line with today's
requirements. Highly efficient dewatering is essential for drying
incineration, composting or dumping. Decanters from

guarantees a substantial reduction in sludge volume and consequently

The Biosolids from the
pre-clarifying
basin and further cleaning stages first passes through a
pre-thickener and digester. The digested sludge with a solids content
of 3-8% is homogenized in the storage tank. The pump conveys the
sludge to the decanter. A second pump feeds polymer flocculent to
the decanter. The optimally dewatered solids discharging from the
decanter are sent for further disposal by means of mechanical
conveyor. High-performance decanters from Westfalia Separator
